  • I keep hearing organic is healthy? Is your food organic?

    We get our supplies from plantations around the city and from known and approved grocers. The vegetables that we procure are guaranteed to be “chemical free”. We place a lot of emphasize on the freshness of the vegetables. Our suppliers deliver the vegetables to us within 12 hours of harvesting. We do not claim to be a complete “organic” facility, because it is hard to procure organic produce at our scale and also ensure their freshness. With a rigorous cleaning and preparation process to clean the produce of farm pesticides, wax, etc., we ensure the food we deliver has all the needed nutrients and absolutely no chemicals.

  • You say no refined products, what does that mean?

    We do not use maida (all purpose flour), white sugar or white rice in any of our items. We also avoid polished legumes. Polishing and refining removes most of the important nutrients and what remains is a high glycemic index grain that is not very healthy to eat. Instead, we use a lot of whole grains like millets, wheat, brown and red rice, etc.

  • Why do you NOT use white rice in your meals?

    The milling and polishing that converts brown rice into white rice destroys 67% of the vitamin B3, 80% of the vitamin B1, 90% of the vitamin B6, half of the manganese, half of the phosphorus, 60% of the iron, and all of the dietary fiber and essential fatty acids. What remains food that is is high on the glycemic index and is not very healthy.

  • Why do you use millets in your meals. What if I don’t like it?

    Millets are awesome grains. They are mineral and fiber rich and do not create glycemic load or gluten load that you will get from rice and wheat. They are also a good source of B vitamins.

  • Why do I need a personalized meal when my wife cooks what I want according to my needs?

    While we agree that there is no substitute for love that your wife puts into the cooking for you, our chefs have expertise in various healthy ways of cooking. It is becoming increasingly harder to keep up with the variety and rigors needed to dish out a balanced wholesome meal at home.
